<p>A method and a device for detecting the abrasions of electrodes in a stationary welding gun capable of accurately detecting the abrasions of electrodes in a stationary welding gun by a robot. A method of detecting the abrasions of both a moving-side electrode (2) and a fixed-side electrode (3) disposed opposite to the moving-side robot (2) in a stationary welding gun for welding a work (W) held by a robot (R), wherein the reference positions of the ends of the both electrodes (2), (3) are read by an electrode end detection device (7) attached to the robot (R), and the electrode end positions are detected by the electrode end detection device (7) in the middle of welding to thereby calculate the abrasions of both the electrodes (2), (3) by the differences from the reference positions.</p> |
