PURPOSE: A method for displaying a character is provided to offer satisfaction to a user by directly fabricating the character in a portable wireless terminal and growing up the fabricated character. CONSTITUTION: An item-classified image for generating a character is stored. If a character generation mode is set, a character setting window is displayed. The stored item-classified images are successively displayed according to the key selection of a user, and it is judged whether the image is selected. The images selected by the user are combined for generating the character.
