PURPOSE: A system and a method for processing programs of a satellite broadcasting receiver are provided to process an execution program without increasing a program memory even when the size of the execution program is increased. CONSTITUTION: A system for processing programs of a satellite broadcasting receiver includes a CPU(100), a hard disk(400), RAM(300), and a program memory(200). The CPU generates commands for controlling the system. The hard disk stores an execution program(410). The RAM provides a storage space required for the CPU to process programs. The program memory stores a copy control program(21) used for copying the execution program stored in the hard disk to the RAM according to a signal output from the CPU.
