Method for separating monopropylene glycol from a mixture comprising monopropylene glycol and propylene carbonate, wherein the mixture is subjected to distillation at such temperature and pressure that a monopropylene glycol product is distilled off and condensed, which monopropylene glycol product comprises less than 1.0 wt% propylene carbonate.
