<p>An optoelectronic transceiver module (13) comprising: a housing (10) having a first opening at a first end a second opening at a second end; a printed circuit board (15, 26) mounted within the housing (12); an electrical connector (28) on the printed circuit board at the first end of the optoelectronic transceiver module, the electrical connector having an insulative mating surface within the first opening and including engagable electrical contacts to slidingly engage a circuit card connector of a host receptacle. The transceiver module (13) also includes an optical assembly connected to the printed circuit board for bi-directional data transmission.
