The method involves forming each connection section (2a,3a) from metal with two opposing surfaces (2e,2f,3e,3f) and arranging the connection sections so that at least part of one surface of each section are next to each other. The connection sections are welded together using brazing solder (30), and the connection sections are heated to a temperature, which is lower than the melting temperature of the material of the connection surfaces. Preferably, the welding is performed using an arc formed between an electrode and the connection sections. An Independent claim is included for an exhaust gas unit for a vehicle, with connection sections joined using the method. |
