PURPOSE: To provide an ID tag including a surface type coil component and a characteristic adjusting method for the ID tag which can suppress product variance small as to desired characteristics. CONSTITUTION: The surface type coil component of the ID tag has a surface type coil which is constituted by continuously and spirally providing a conductive material on an insulating substrate and jumpers which are provided in an insulated state on the surface type coil from one of the inner side end part or outer side end part of the surface type coil to outside or inside the surface type coil where the other end part is positioned; and the jumpers are provided so that the number of the jumpers which are parallel is variable. Then characteristics can be adjusted by varying the effective number of parallel jumpers.
