PURPOSE: A process of preparing a low-toxic oxytocic agent containing a suitable amount of Cervi Parvum Cornu, Angelicae Gigantis Radix, Cnidii Rhizoma is provided. Therefore, the composition can be used as an oxytocic agent for inducing stable and fast child delivery through natural uterine contractions while replacing the function of conventional oxytocin. CONSTITUTION: This oxytocic agent comprises the following three mixing methods: (1) Cervi Parvum Cornu, Angelicae Gigantis Radix and Cnidii Rhizoma in a ratio of 0.8 to 4:0.5 to 4:1, (2) Cervi Parvum Cornu and Cnidii Rhizoma in a ratio of 0.8 to 4:1 or (3) Angelicae Gigantis Radix and Cnidii Rhizoma in a ratio of 0.5 to 4:1, together with a pharmaceutically acceptable salt. The oxytocic agent is formulated into a powder, extract or pill. |
