PURPOSE: An actuator for a side mirror of a vehicle is provided to expand a life span of the actuator by preventing a lower surface of the actuator from being damaged by a driving shaft of a driving motor. CONSTITUTION: An actuator includes an upper case and a lower case. A driving motor, a motor shaft, and a driving gear are provided in the upper case. A splined shaft equipped with a rotary gear, a power transmitting gear(9), a driving gear, and a worm gear are accommodated in a lower case of the actuator. A metal insert, into which an end of the motor shaft is inserted, is buried in a bottom surface of the lower case. The power transmitting gear(9) includes a supplying gear(13) and a pair of transmitting gears(14,14'). A space section is defined in the supplying gear(13) by a supporting shaft(15) and supporting ribs(16,16'). Protrusions(17,17') are formed at one side of the transmitting gears(14,14'), respectively.
