This invention provides a single-point mooring method, advantageously suitable for forming a tanker terminal, in which there are provided a fixed structure (1a) anchored to the sea bed, a mooring chain (9) or cable and a flexible pipeline (12), said method enabling the translational and rotational movements of the tanker to be compensated by rotations of elements connected together.
