PURPOSE: To provide an aseismatic wall member and a construction method therefore capable of increasing earthquake resistance of a wooden building to provide sufficient reinforcement effect, reducing labor and time greatly when performing construction, and reducing cost for construction greatly. CONSTITUTION: Insertion holes 2 for inserting tightening members to be fixed on a foundation, a sill, a beam, a girder, etc., are drilled in a plate member having such length that extends over the foundation, the sill, the beam, the girder, etc., of the building to constitute the aseismatic wall member 1. In this construction method for the aseismatic wall member, the aseismatic wall member 1 is used and provided in a corner part 9 of the building. Furthermore, the aseismatic wall member 1 may be provided to connect these aseismatic wall members 1.
