OPTICAL DISK HAVING RECORDABLE LAND AND GROOVE TRACKS

PURPOSE: An optical disk having recordable land and groove tracks is provided to reduce overhead so as to increase a recordable area that is a user data region. CONSTITUTION: An optical disk(10) having recordable land and groove tracks(L,G) includes the first and second wobbles(11,15). The first wobble is formed close to the groove track along both sidewalls of the groove track. The second wobble is formed close to the land track along both sidewalls of the land track, being independent from the first wobble. The optical disk further has middle portions(M) formed at predetermined portions of both sidewalls of the land and groove tracks to divide the first wobble and the second wobble from each other. The first and second wobbles record wobble signals including address information. Address information recorded in the first wobble is detected when the groove track is scanned, and address information recorded in the second wobble is detected when the land track is scanned.
