PURPOSE: A preparation method of a highly active photocatalytic TiO2 sol containing metals is provided which not only substantially improves activity of photocatalyst and stability of TiO2 sol, but also neutralizes pH of the TiO2 sol prepared by adding metals during preparation of the same. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method of a highly active photocatalytic TiO2 sol containing metals comprises the processes of peptizing titanium alkoxide with acid; preparing a sol in which titanium and metals are uniformly dispersed by adding metal salts to the peptized titanium oxide; gelating the neutralized sol by neutralizing the prepared sol with a base; mixing the filtered and washed sol with distilled water after filtering and washing the gelated sol; and adding a hydrogen peroxide solution to the mixture, wherein a titanium peroxide sol to which metals such as Fe, Al, Si, Cu, Ni, Ge, Ga, Sr, Ba, Mn, Mg, Ag, Au, Cr, V, Ca, Zn, Pd, Pt, Rh, W, Mo, Zr, Th, Nb and Ta, salts of the metals added to the titanium peroxide sol include nitrate, acetate, chloride and sulfate which are dissolved by water or an organic solvent, the metals are added to the titanium peroxide sol in a metal (M)/titanium (Ti) weight ratio of 0.0001 to 50%, the metal salts are added before or after peptization reaction in the process of peptizing titanium alkoxide, the titanium peroxide sol can be obtained not by peptizing titanium raw material with acid, but by adding hydrogen peroxide to titanium alkoxide, and the titanium oxide sol is prepared by decomposing the hydrogen peroxide solution through heating, or reaction between hydrogen peroxide and titanium raw material is promoted by adding a base to promote decomposition reaction of the hydrogen peroxide solution.
