PURPOSE: A rotary piston engine is provided to maximize the output by rotating a crankshaft continuously with transmitting rotation stroke of pistons, and to improve the endurance by forming wheel cylinders in the rotary cylinder block without linear contact portion. CONSTITUTION: A rotary piston engine is composed of a housing(100) having an intake port(140) and an exhaust port(150); a crankshaft(200) installed in the housing; a cylinder block(300) having a rotating wheel installed in the center journal of the crankshaft, two wheel cylinders(320), and intake and exhaust ports(340); external fixed gears(400) installed at both ends of the crankshaft, and fixed in the housing; rotors(500) inscribed with external fixed gears at the gear ratio of 2 to 3 by an internal gear(510), and combined with the crank; connecting rod mechanisms(600) connecting rotors to wheel cylinders; and six couples of pistons(700) installed in wheel cylinders, and combined with connecting rod mechanisms with interlocking. The size is reduced, and the output is maximized by performing the engine cycle with the rotation stroke of the piston.
