FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for construction and repair of railway tracks, particularly, to devices for consolidating ballast and it can be used in cyclic and continuous-action track machines. Said tie tamping outfit has frame with vibratory drive mounted of frame and levers with fitted-on tamping tools and hydraulic cylinders included into kinematic circuit connecting vibratory drive with levers. At least one regulation device is installed on each hydraulic cylinder. Regulating device has channel and shunting check valve communicating with one of spaces of hydraulic cylinder. Regulating device can also be provided with hydraulically controlled valve hydraulically connected in parallel with channel and with check valve. Invention provides reduction of losses of tamping tool vibration amplitudes in process of ballast consolidating which improved quality of consolidation and reduces time of return of tamping tools in initial position which decreases duration of working cycle.
