PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus having a latch mechanism of an inexpensive and easily assembled discharge stacker and a latch mechanism. SOLUTION: A discharge stacker 200 is mounted on a recording apparatus body 107 through journaling bosses 12, 13, and stored and held in the recording apparatus body through a latch boss 11. The stacker is provided with the latch mechanism 10 in which the journaling bosses and the latch boss are integrally formed to be freely expanded and contracted. Thus, the latch mechanism is formed as one component part including the journaling bosses as well as the latch boss, whereby the number of parts can be reduced to lower the cost, and the time and trouble required for assembling the latch mechanism in the discharge stacker can be reduced so as to improve work efficiency.
