PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive composition containing an IR dyestuff sensitizer adaptable to a thiosulfate polymer. SOLUTION: The thermosensitive composition contains (a) a hydrophilic thermosensitive ionomer, (b) water or a water-miscible organic solvent and (c) an infrared-sensitive bis(aminoaryl)polymethine dyestuff being soluble in the water or the water-miscible organic solvent and having λmax exceeding 700 nm when measured in this solvent.
