FLEXIBLE ENDOSCOPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible endoscope which can continuously detect and display a bent condition of the inserting part inserted into a body and changes thereof. SOLUTION: This endoscope is equipped with a flexible tube member 10 detachably attached on the inserting part 1. A plurality of optical fiber 21 for bend detecting, which have bend detecting parts 22 to change quantity of light transmitting corresponding to a bend angle, are fixed on the tube member 10 so that the bend detecting parts 22 are arranged in the axis direction shifting positions. Bend conditions of the tube member 10 on positions of the bend detecting parts 22 are detected from quantity of light transmitting of the optical fiber 21 for bend detecting. The bend conditions are displayed on a monitor screen 41 as the bend condition of the inserting part 1.
