PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cake having excellent properties by reflecting the conditions under which a cake having excellent properties has been obtained at the time of a small scale crystallization, in a large scale crystallization. SOLUTION: The dropping crystallization method comprises dropping a solution composed of a solute and a good solvent to the solute to a poor solvent to the solute, which poor solvent is miscible with the good solvent, while stirring and crystallizing. When the number of rotations, the blade diameter, the volume of the poor solvent and the dropping time of the solution of a small tank of two tanks are given, crystallization at a large tank is carried out while controlling at least one of the number of rotations, the blade diameter and the dropping time so as to satisfy following formula: n2 .d2 <3> .t2 /V2 }/ n1 .d1 <3> .t1 /V1 }>=1, wherein n1 and n2 are each the number of rotations; d1 and d2 are each blade diameter; t1 and t2 are each dropping time, V1 and V2 are each volume of poor solvent, and suffixes 1 and 2 show the small tank and the large tank, respectively, according to the volume of the poor solvent of the large tank.
