PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an item packaging structure for an absorptive article, which enables an absorptive article to be hygienically dumped without inconvenience, manufacturing facilities to be simplified, and packages to be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: An absorptive article 2 is folded flat with a packaging material 3 in the longitudinal direction and both edge parts 30 of the folded and overlapped packaging material are jointed in the lateral direction. The upper end parts 31 of the overlapped packaging material 3 are folded back inside into a prescribed width. An adhesive is applied on one folded back inside face 32 and a release processing on the other inside face 33.
