PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorter which additionally improves the removal efficiency of dry foods containing nonmagnetic metals and can make the installation space of the equipment smaller by improving the detecting sensitivity of the nonmagnetic metals in a metal detector as compared to the individual use of a magnetic separator of separating the dry foods including or sticking magnetic materials and the metal detector of detecting the metals in the dry foods. SOLUTION: The sorter 1 includes a magnetic separator 40 which has a belt 41 for conveyance for conveying the dry foods, a drive roll 42 on which the belt 41 for conveyance is wound and a permanent magnet roll 43 for separation and separates the dry foods including or sticking the magnetic materials by the permanent magnet roll 43 and a metal detector 50 which is arranged on the downstream side from the magnetic separator 40 and detects the non management metals in the dry foods exclusive of the separated dry foods. The magnetic separator 40 and the metal detector 50 are housed within an integral unit. |
