PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body fat meter which is made into a wrist watch type to be used by usually putting on a body and small and light to be conveniently carried to enable a user to measure a body fat rate anytime as desired by a simple procedure. SOLUTION: A body impedance measuring circuit is embedded in the main body 1 and a band 3 is attached thereon to be wound around a wrist. One power supply side electrodes H1 and detection side electrodes H2 to constitute four terminal electrodes as the outside electrodes mutually and electrically insulated are fixed on both ends of the insulated surface of the main body as well as the display part D of an LCD and some key switches K. The other power supply side electrodes H1 and detection side electrodes H2 to constitute four terminal electrodes as the inside electrodes mutually and electrically insulated are fixed on the backside of the main body 1 or the inside of the band 3. When a right or left hand is placed in the main body 1 wound around a left or right wrist preventing both hands from mutually touching, an AC voltage is generated between the detection side electrodes H2 on the surface of the main body 1 and the detection side electrodes H2 on the backside of the main body 1 or the inside of the band 3. Thus human body impedance between both hands can be measured. |
