PROCESS FOR PREPARING SULPHURIC ACID FROM GASSES CONTAINING SO3 AND GASEOUS NITROSYLSULPHURIC ACID

A process is disclosed for preparing sulphuric acid from gasses containing S O3 and gaseous nitrosylsulphuric acid by contact with highly concentrated sulphuric acid. The process is characterised in that the gasses flow through at least one cooler and are cooled down to 160 to 130 ~C before being brough t into contact with highly concentrated sulphuric acid.
