PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water discolorable sounding toy of a simple structure which produces sounds together with water discoloration and changes the sounds by the shape of a water discolored image. SOLUTION: The water discolorable sounding toy 1 has a water discolorable layer 3 which is discolored by adhesion of water and a water discolorable implement 6 in which the water 8 is housed and which is capable of discharging the water 8 from a pen tip 62. The under surface of the water discolorable layer 3 is provided with an electrode 31 and the water discolorable implement 7 is provided with a electrode 61 contactable with the water 8 housed in the water discolorable implement 7. The toy is provided with a call originating circuit 4 which originates a frequency signal meeting the resistance value between the electrodes 31 and 61 when the electrodes 31 and 61 are put into an energizing state to each other by bringing the pen tip 62 into contact with the water discolorable layer 3 and forming the water discoloration image 7 on the water discolorable layer 3. The toy is provided with a speaker 5 which outputs the call originating signal as a sound.
