PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength of a side frame and to improve mounting workability of an engine rack in a frame structure for a vehicle suitable for a vehicle in which an engine is installed transversely behind a rear axle. SOLUTION: In the frame structure for the vehicle provided with a side rail 3 (3b) extending in the car length direction, a cross member 5 extending in the car width direction and connected at a rear end of the side rail 3 (3b) and the engine rack 10 on which an engine 1 is mounted and which is arranged behind the cross member 5, there are provided gussets 20 and 21 fixed to the side rail 3 (3b) and the cross member 5 for regulating the position of the engine rack 10 in the car length direction and a connecting member 14 brought into contact with the gussets 20 and 21 and the cross member 5, and the connecting member 14, gussets 20 and 21 and the cross member 5 are connected to each other by bolts 30 and 32.
