PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording head exhibiting stabilized ink drop ejection performance even after continuous printing by preventing a bubble being taken into an ink ejection hole, aggregation of ink or a foreign matter from staying in the channel and stabilizing the temperature of ink in the channel. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording head 20 where an ink reservoir 7 located between two rows of channel groups A and B is provided with an ink recovery hole 9, an ink reservoir 6A located between the channel group A and a frame 5 is provided with an ink supply hole 8A, and an ink reservoir 6B located between the channel group B and the frame 5 is provided with an ink supply hole 8B, following relations are satisfied; 0.5<=Sa/Qa<=2.5, 0.5<=Sj/Qa<=2.5, 0.5<=Sb/Qb<=2.5, 0.5<=Sj/Qb<=2.5, where Sa is the total area of the opening of the ink supply hole 8A, Sb is the total area of the opening of the ink supply hole 8B, Sj is the total area of the opening of the ink recovery hole 9, Qa is the sum of the cross-sectional area of channels 2A in the channel group A, and Qb is the sum of the cross-sectional area of channels 2B in the channel group B.
