PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for laminating and molding a metal plate which holds excellent moldability, heat resistance, retort resistance and impact resistance, and which improves taste retentivity or particularly taste retentivity and perfume retentivity after retort treating. SOLUTION: The polyester film for laminating and molding the metal plate is obtained by laminating a resin layer (layer A) made of a copolymer polyester having a main repeating unit of an ethylene terephthalate manufactured of a titanium compound as a transesterification catalyst and a polycondensation catalyst and a melting point of 210 to 245 deg.C, and a resin layer (layer B) made of 10 to 70 wt.% of a copolymer polyester (I) containing an ethylene terephthalate having a melting point of 210 to 250 deg.C as a main repeating unit and 30 to 90 wt.% of a polyester (II) containing a butylene terephthalate having a melting point of 170 to 223 deg.C as a main repeating unit.
