PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spout insertion apparatus capable of arranging a movable part at the position under a spout to prevent dust or oil drops from falling to a bag to adhere thereto and capable of accurately positioning the bag and the spout at the same time. SOLUTION: A plurality of sets of insertion means, each of which consists of a pair of holding members 19 for positioning both side edges of the bag W to hold the bag W, a bag bottom receiving stand 20 for supporting the lower end of the bag W and suction pads 21 for sucking the mouth of the bag W from both sides to open the same, are arranged on the periphery of an intermittent rotation table 18. The supply of the bag W is received at a stop position or during the movement of the intermittent rotation table 18 and both side edges of the bag W are held by the holding members 19 and the bag receiving stand 20 is raised to raise the mouth of the bag W to the position of the suction pads 21 to open the same by the suction pads 21. Succeedingly, the holding members 19 and the suction pads 21 are raised to a predetermined position at a temporary seal position and the bag W is fitted to the spout S positioned at the predetermined position. At the same time, both of them are temporarily sealed by a temporary seal member 79 and a temporary seal receiving member 85.
