PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean a soil containing cadmium. SOLUTION: This method for cleaning the soil polluted with cadmium is characterized in that the water soluble salt of a metal selected from sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium, an ammonium salt and one or more kinds selected from water-soluble lower carboxylic acids are applied to the soil containing cadmium, and that plants having an absorption power for cadmium are planted.
