PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly control increase and decrease of wheel cylinder pressure during predetermined braking control irrespective of a characteristic deviation in a linear valve. SOLUTION: A target wheel cylinder pressure Pti of each wheel is calculated in response to a braking manipulate variable of a driver (S20). When anti-skid control is necessary, the target wheel cylinder pressure Pti for reducing slippage is calculated (S30-80). A target driving current It to the linear valve is calculated on the basis of a deviation between the target wheel cylinder pressure Pti and an actual wheel cylinder pressure Pi (S100). The characteristic deviation of the linear valve is compensated (S130). When the anti-skid control is initiated in a condition with compensation of the characteristic deviation not finished, a target driving current Ita for initial decompression is incrementally changed (S160). The linear valve is controlled on the basis of the incrementally changed target driving current Ita (S180).
