PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance effect for sterilizing raw water in a water feed pipe, suppressing the propagation of algae and removing scale bonded to the inner wall of the water feed pipe by generating fluctuating electromagnetic waves by a variable frequency pulse generator by means of the control of a computer. SOLUTION: In the electromagnetic wave propagation type water cleaning treatment apparatus 1, pulse frequency and a frequency fluctuating range are specified by the operation of a phase regulator 101 and a frequency selector 102 and the computer 4 sends a frequency signal into the variable frequency pulse generator 104 on the basis of the specified input and allows the variable frequency pulses generated by a pulse generator 103 to flow to the coil 104 wound around the outer wall of the water feed pipe P connected to output terminals 8 and 9, and the outer wall of the water feed pipe P is connected to the cathodes 10 and 11 of an apparatus power supply 2. By this constitution, fluctuating electromagnetic waves are generated around the coil 104 to clean supply water.
