PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a conventional problem that the inside surface, the rotary parts or the like of a pump in a coating apparatus for an adhesive composition such as an adhesive or a sealing agent, in which filler having a high hardness such as silica is blended, are easily worn in a short time and the apparatus can not be used. SOLUTION: The coating apparatus is made endurable for use for a long period by carrying out surface treatment to improve wear resistance on the inside surface of the pump and the surface of working parts such as gears and a rotary shaft.
