PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the growth of cells on a surface to be accurately controlled and guided. SOLUTION: This method of forming a cell pattern comprises a step for prepatterning by attaching a cell growth-promoting molecule and/or a cell growth-inhibiting molecule on the surface on which the cell pattern may be formed, and a step for forming the cell pattern on the surface by culturing the cells on the surface having the prepattern.
