The invention comprises nitroxides of azabicyclic compounds in which one of the bridges comprises solely the imine radical and the preparation thereof by oxidizing the imine with phosphotungstic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Examples relate to the oxidation of aza-9- bicyclo[3.3.1]nonan - 3 - one to aza - 9 - bicyclo- [3.3.1] - nonan - 3 - onoxyl - 9 and aza - 9- bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane to aza-9-bicyclo[3.3.1]nonanoxyl-9. Aza - 9 - bicyclo[3.3.1]nonan - 3 - one is prepared by condensing 2-ethoxy-3,4-dihydro-2H- pyran with dicarboxylic acid acetone and ammonium chloride. Aza-9-bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane is obtained by hydrazine reduction of the 3-one. |
