PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish the maintenance and inspection of an extinguishing equipment efficiently and moreover in safety. SOLUTION: A maintenance/inspection robot 1 is provided with a manipulator 2, an ITV camera 3, a water discharge connection port 4, a positioning position 5, a computer CP having a CPU 6 and a memory part 8 and running wheels 7. The maintenance/inspection robot 1 executes inspection of hydrant devices S by an automatic control or remote control. For example, the tip part of the manipulator 2 is engaged with a handle 15 of a door 10a to open the door while measuring a load and it is decided whether or not the operation of opening or closing the door is normal based on the resulting measured values.
