FIELD: electrical engineering; support insulators for high-voltage equipment. SUBSTANCE: high-voltage support insulator structure assembled of single polymeric support insulators with bearing pin and upper and lower flanges has additional screen with holders for its fastening to upper flange of polymeric insulator placed at high electrical potential; optimal deepening of mentioned additional screen relative to bottom edge of upper metal flange of top insulator and its axis relative to longitudinal axis of the latter are found from equations given in description of invention.
