According to the method amount of fuel delivered by pumping units through nozzles at maximum power output and at idling is measured at definite time. Adjustment is done by turning control sleeve together with plunger with toothed rim clamping screw backed off. Increase or decrease of delivery depends on sense of turning. Comparative measurement is carried out on operating engine by means of one measuring cylinder into which nozzle of repaired unit to be adjusted and any other unit at the same duration of time with beginning of counting from moment of closing of measuring cylinder drain cock. Invention is a simplified method of adjusting pump cyclic deliveries after replacement of one plunger pair directly on engine in the field by force of military repair team.
