FIELD: log handling equipment. SUBSTANCE: log thrower has driving and driven double-armed levers mounted on columns-spindles. Some of arms are made in the form of log ejectors arranged at an angle to one another. Other arm of driving lever is positioned for engagement with log end and related log ejector is connected with driven lever through tie-rod. Automatic log sorting process is effected by means of additional pairs of levers, each pair of levers extending along conveyor at level different from level of arrangement of other pairs of levers. Log thrower may be used in optional equipment for timber transportation lines, for automatic timber sorting and throwing or only for timber throwing. EFFECT: simplified manufacture, increased efficiency and reduced labor intensity. 2 cl, 1 dwg
