PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizer for suppressing the diffusion of chlorine gas from a solid chlorine agent to suppress the corrosion/deterioration of a peripheral metal or the like caused by the chlorine gas. SOLUTION: In the sterilizer, a water seal means (A) for cutting off an opening (13) for the contact with a chlorine agent from outside is provided to a water channel (2) through which water to be treated flows.
