PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressed air thread fastening machine which can reduce weight and size, can efficiently transmit rotation of an air motor to a driver bit, can provide a thread fastening machine with good machine balance and can securely stop the air motor when thread fastening is finished. SOLUTION: An air motor 21 is arranged at an upper end in a housing 12 coaxially with a driver bit 14 shaft, in a cylindrical casing 24 formed under the air motor, an internal gear formed on an inner circumferential face of the casing, a sun gear 26 fixed to an output shaft of the motor and a speed reduction mechanism constituted by a plurality of planet gears 27 engaged with the sun gear and the internal gear are contained, a planet cage 28 rotatably supporting the plurality of planet gears and a driving shaft 22 integrally formed on an upper face of a piston 13 are slidably connected along the rotation connection and axial direction so that rotation of the air motor is coaxially transmitted to the driver bit.
