PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insoluble coagulant which is highly effective even in a small amount of use by further amplifying coagulating effect of cellulose fiber as natural material. SOLUTION: Fine suspended material can be coagulated by adding a cellulose fiber suspended liquid. Further, a novel water insoluble coagulant which is higher in coagulating effect than cellulose fiber by itself can be produced by using the cellulose fiber and aluminium hydroxide or iron hydroxide and mixing them in a proper proportion.
