PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium to be recorded by ink-jet having high gloss, high ink absorbency and excellent light resistance. SOLUTION: In the medium to be recorded by ink-jet, which is prepared by providing a priming coating layer on a support and then an ink accepting layer coating liquid including vapor phase method silica is applied on the priming coating layer, the ink accepting layer is mirror-finished by being pressed against a heated mirror-finished drum under its wet state and, at the same time, the priming coating layer includes an alkaline-earth metal salt and an adhesive. The preferable amount of the adhesive is 0.05 to 0.7 times in mass ratio as much as the alkaline-earth metal salt. The preferable alkaline-earth metal is calcium or magnesium. The preferable alkaline-earth metal salt is a carbonate. |
