PURPOSE:To provide a spindle motor with high reliability and productivity without machining and assembly by maintaining and improving sealing the inside/outside of a motor. CONSTITUTION:This motor is provided with a stationary member, ball bearings 10 and 11 fitted to it, and a rotor hub 6 supported so that it can be rotated relatively to the stationary member via the ball bearings 10 and 11. An annular sleeve member 15 is coaxially fixed to the stationary and surrounds the entire periphery with a slight space the outer ring side edge and an outer-peripheral part of the ball bearings 10 and 11.
