PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display panel is provided to reduce the aperture rate of a plurality of pixels positioned immediately on the backlight for improving the entire screen quality of the liquid crystal display screen, wherein the light leakage preventing tape is not necessary any more, thereby reducing the fabrication cost and assuring of the designing margin. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel includes a backlight unit(13) disposed at an outer surface of a lower substrate(11) and having a light source positioned at an edge part and for radiating light to the lower substrate via a light guide panel and a diffusion plate(9), wherein a black matrix corresponding to pixels of a plurality of pixel lines(12) most adjacent to the backlight is larger than a black matrix corresponding to other pixels, or driving electrodes corresponding to the pixels of the pixel lines most adjacent to the backlight is formed of an opaque conductive material, or the pixels of the pixel lines most adjacent to the backlight is a driving electrode pattern of a large storage capacitance, or the combination thereof is provided.
