PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for an electric storage device, which can suppress power consumption without having a complicated structure, by efficiently utilizing a clock signal used for communication. SOLUTION: The control system comprises a system controller 12 to control operation, and a plurality of monitoring means KS to monitor the state of a plurality of electric storage parts U. Each monitoring means KS communicates the monitored information of the electric storage part U to the system controller 12, based on the clock signal sent from the system controller 12. The system controller 12 is universally changeable either to an operation mode or to a stop mode, and each monitoring means KS is supplied with power from the power storage part U. Each monitoring means KS is changed over to the operating state, when the clock signal is continuously sent and a start-stop instruction means outputs the operation signal; and it is changed over to the operation- stopped state, when the state that no clock signal is sent continues, and the start-stop instruction means outputs the stop signal. |
