PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method capable of easily expressing change of gradation on a boundary surface such as the surfaces of the sea and the ground. SOLUTION: An approximately horizontal sea surface model 2 and a background model 3 to extend in the direction across the surface of the sea surface model 2 are respectively arranged in a virtual three-dimensional space 1. An image when the background model 3 is viewed from a viewpoint 4 in the upper direction of the sea level model 2 is plotted with the gradation to change in the approximately vertical direction to a prescribed range 3a on the lower side of the intersection A with the sea surface model 2 on the surface of the background model 3. The sea surface model 2 viewed from the viewpoint 4 is plotted as a translucent model by combining it with an image of the background model 3.
