PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost by simplifying the structure of an external electrode thereby reducing the labor required for manufacture. SOLUTION: The inductor comprises a core 1 having flange parts 7 formed at the opposite ends of a core 5, a winding 2 wound around the core 5, and an electrode 4 covering the outer surface of the flange part 7 and connected with the terminal 2A of the winding 2 wherein a cut 9 is made at the corner of the flange part 7 and the terminal 2A of the winding 2 is led out in the cut 9 before being connected with the electrode 4.
