PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means of improving extraction efficiency of light, in a light-emitting device of active matrix type. SOLUTION: In the light-emitting device of active matrix type, metal films from a metal film 102a to a third metal film 102c are formed on the first substrate 100, having concave parts from the first concave part 101 to a third concave part 101c, and a light-emitting element 150 composed of a pixel electrode 145, an organic layer 148, and a negative electrode 149 possessing a surface of the convex part 149a is formed, thereby loss of light and leakage of light to the next pixel can be prevented.
