PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any fear that disk reproduction is interrupted when it takes a long time to perform an access since the deterioration of a processing speed occurs due to the access accompanying the reproduction of a disk in which data are distributed and recorded. SOLUTION: This disk recording/reproducing device is provided with a cache means for storing recorded data to be recorded in a disk, and when it is decided that the recorded data are physically discontinuously distributed and recorded due to the presence of an already recording area where the recorded data are already recorded in the middle of a vacant area on a disk, the recorded data from the already recording area are read from the disk, and stored in the cache means, and the recording order of the data stored in the cache means in the disk by file units is edited, and the data recording is physically continuously operated from the writing start position on the disk by the file units in this edited order. Thus, it is possible to suppress the generation of any access in the same file when reproducing the disk by preventing the same file from being distributed or recorded.
