PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing the occurrence of curls and wrinkles of a recording material while always keeping a good fixing property of a toner. SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises an image forming means for forming an image on the recording material, heating and pressing rotary bodies for fixing the image formed on the recording material, and a temperature controlling means for controlling the temperature of the heating rotary body to a predetermined temperature during fixing action. The temperature controlling means has a first mode where a fixing temperature for a next fixing action is variably set in accordance with the timing of a next image formation with respect to an image formation immediately prior to it, and a second mode where a specified temperature is set as a fixing temperature for the next fixing action regardless of the next image forming timing with respect to the image formation immediately prior to it.
